Rifle Mountain Park belongs to the City of Rifle since 1921.
Come with cash because you need to leave it in a little envelope, or purchase an annual pass.
I personally would not bring a big camper in here. Its more appropriate for tent camping because there is one narrow road between mountains so its not so easy to turn around.
Famous for its incredible diversity of climbing routes, Rifle Mountain Park is extremely popular with climbers.
Its also a great place just to hike in nature, or go birding.
When it gets busy in the summer, I would have a camp site reserved maybe at Rifle Falls, or a backup plan in case all the good parking spaces and tent sites are taken, which does happen.
The Community House at the back of the park can be reserved for gatherings.
Behind the Community House there is a really old sub division and some private property off the grid. If you want to learn more about this subdivision at the back of the park, contact me.
