Glenwood Canyon is itself a natural wonder you can’t miss after you pass Gypsum going west on I-70.  The canyon walls reach high and the Colorado rushes below.  You can see the train tracks on the side of the canyon where pioneers had to pass treacherously. 

Up there you’ll find a path, and a mile up the path, hanging lake awaits. 

The mile long hike is almost entire up a steep incline on slippery rock.
